And What About Splash Mountain in Tokyo?

And What About Splash Mountain in Tokyo?

Tokyo Disneyland’s version of Splash Mountain is a popular attraction that takes guests on a thrilling journey through the world of the classic Disney film, Song of the South.

Located in the Critter Country area of the park, Splash Mountain: Critter Country is a log flume ride that takes guests on a journey through the story of Brer Rabbit, Brer Bear, and Brer Fox. The ride features a variety of animatronics and special effects, including a large drop at the end that gives riders an exhilarating splash.

One of the key differences between Tokyo Disneyland’s Splash Mountain and the versions found in other Disney parks is the ride’s length. At over 11 minutes, it is significantly longer than the other Splash Mountain rides. Additionally, the ride’s storyline is more elaborate, with more scenes and characters than the other versions of the ride, making it a more immersive experience.

The ride also features a unique soundtrack that includes a mix of classic American folk songs and Japanese-language versions of the same songs, which adds to the cultural experience of the attraction. Compared to the Florida version, the set piece orders are a little different. There isn’t mill or barn structure on the second lift but rather a cave-like ascent. Also, one drop takes place indoors while the main, final drop takes place outdoors.

Overall, Splash Mountain is a must-ride attraction for any Disney fan visiting Tokyo Disneyland. Its longer ride time, elaborate storyline, and unique soundtrack make it a standout compared to other versions of the ride found in other Disney parks.

Tokyo Disneyland is known for its themed attractions and Splash Mountain is no exception. the ride is a perfect blend of the classic Disney adventure and the Japanese culture, which makes it a unique and fun experience for all ages.

As for it staying or going. It looks like it’s there to stay for now. And with Florida already closed and California about to be closed, this will be the only one left.
